“Face it. You haven’t been a good friend. You haven’t been a friend, period.”
“True.” “And that’s it? No apology? Seriously?” “I am sorry. I’m sorry life is where life is, but I can’t apologise. Things have been bigger for me, harder for me, than any other time in my life. I made a decision and it was never a decision I wanted to make, but it was still the right decision and I’m at peace with that.” “What the hell? What the hell are you talking about? This is about how you haven’t been there for me. Don’t turn this around. Don’t make this about you.” “I haven’t been the friend I used to be. I know. I like to think I was a good friend, a really good friend. I always put you first and that hasn’t been there, I know. I am actually sorry for that, but it’s closer to the truth to say we haven’t been good friends, but I’m not going to ask you to apologise".
