What Sunday sounds like...

I am British and currently living in the United Kingdom. I pay my yearly ‘dues’ to the a British Broadcasting Corporation. Well actually I pay them monthly, by direct debit, but you get my meaning.
You will hear many a person complain about the television ‘licence fee’. I will not be getting political or passionate about ‘independent’ news today - that’s for those more informed individuals who have researched the statistics of news bias.
I, very selfishly, get my money’s worth from CBeebies alone. I unashamedly love CBeebies.
To me, CBeebies means quality children’s programmes that are not peppered with adverts for random things my kid now feels like she’s missing out on. I think we are picky. We are select in our choices. Not every offering will do. She doesn’t have much TV time a day because she’s a ball of energy and cannot sit still. Literally. She needs action and doing, without pause, but we have our favourites for the calmer moments (Yes, I’m laughing as I type this). They naturally change as she ages. It used to be ‘Bing’ and Boj, then it was Biggleton, Gudrun and Pablo. Now she adores Maggie from ‘Do you know?’ And Bitz from ‘Bitz and Bob’. She’s recently strayed in to ‘Our family’ and I know at some point in every day she's going to suggest we undertake whatever activity each family enjoyed. I promise I try to look enthused. Numberblocks and their show tunes make math(s) so much more enjoyable than I remember (I love me a good show tune) and I look forward to the annual pantomimes and ballets just as much as she does. Lights down, fire on, blankets on the sofa....
Which is where I come to me. My heart is with Sarah and Duck. I can not see fireworks without ‘singing’ the ‘Fireworks dance’ (google it) and every jazz tune lovingly interwoven in to the dream-like storytelling is a beautiful moment of calm in a busy life. The day they launch a soundtrack I’ll be over there downloading it like a shot. The closest I’ve seen is that, in 2015, the people behind social media management of Sarah and Duck made a Spotify playlist for their ‘Toggle Tangle’ episode.
So today, on a Sunday, I’m sending you this, because this is what every Autumn (Fall) Sunday should be about.
See Sarah and Duck original Facebook post for further information. https://www.facebook.com/sarahandduck/photos/were-delighted-that-so-many-of-you-enjoyed-the-jazz-soundtrack-from-our-recent-d/691381800999083/
